561920981B 3D cluster in 2012 golf possible?

I have this cluster from 2017 Passat I want to put in my 2012 Golf. Cluster number is 561920981B, sw 1104
I am having problem programming it. Will not recognize my keys after immo data transfer.
Did some research and looks like this passat cluster is some kind of hybrid immo system, something between immo4 and mqb and does not use regular id48 chip for the key.

Anyone have any info on this?

Passat cluster= no immo on cluster.

From what I can see USA passat for this year immo is in cluster same as golf.

Thats correct. US Passat B7 is more an evolved Jetta

What did you use to program the IMMO data?
Because you need a tool like VVDI2 to program all the data from your old cluster. You can't just transfer IMMO data from one cluster to the other.
I did a similar swap on a 2011 Golf with a 2016 Jetta cluster (5C6920885) and used VVDI2 and a reset pin to gain access to the IMMO data.

i used Autel im508 and could not get it to work. I will have to try with VVDI2, will see if anyone in the area has one.

It is totally possible to program this 561 cluster to any other car compatible, Golf mk6 2012 is also compatible. Passat cluster has immo, but in a different setup.

Yes true. But how about newer 561 cluster from cars that have different immo. Imoo is some hybrid of pq and mqb and keys don't use 48 chip like older ones.
Anyone know if that can still be programmed to other cars with immo4 system?

Immodata block contain info about keys, you can enable ID88 PQ or restore ID48 but you cannot MIX it

So Only ID88 PQ will work like T6 etc with additional AES etc

or Old ID48 like GOlf 6 jetta etc.

Car normally start w/o trouble
