Can Premium color cluster be updated to 3D??? What are the chances and what would be needed?

I see, so clusters with software 6xx can be updated using "modified software" or something else? Didn't understand totally because of google translate

It's better to speak about modified firmware file, not flash of MCU. EEPROM IC is just storage of configuration data, so it is separate question. EEPROM could have a little bit different structure regarding flash version

Is it possible to get a firmware file?
Because on VW update dvd there is none for clusters, just one or two frf files?!

What version and PN do You want to find? There are several FRFs for different PN

I have 5K6920882B H04 sw0417, looking to update to 6xx if possible, any recommendations?
Also looking for 6xx and 7xx software to try to compare them, research purposes.
Also frf is not complete software? Just partial right?

FRF could be converted to plain ODX, that looks like simple XML.

Any actions with real dashboards is your risk.

Each ODX contains following sections: SESSIONS, DATABLOCKS and FLASHDATAS:

SESSIONS contains different info regarding expected PN, CRC and ref links to DATABLOCKS

DATABLOCKS describe data located in FLASHDATA: types, size, addresses...

FLASHDATA is main container of data. This section contains flash of MCU...

FRF/ODX contains all information that required in flash procedure

I have a 3C8920880Q cluster that im trying to flash with VCP to FL_5N0920883G__1008 and then modify EEPROM.
But VCP refuses to write, goes to ERROR in 10sec..

Does anybody have any information on how to do this?

If you could post the error it should be easier to people help you, if it's what i imagine you need a custom odx to do this kind of update.
