Hello, i have a 1K8920871 Cluster in my 2010 Scirocco.

It has the 0x00: 1K8/1Q0/1T0 etc.. Indicator Layout. Now i bough some Dial plates that has the Layout 0x0A: 1k8/1T0/56D/7N0.

I tried to change the layout in my Cluster Dump.
But it did not work. No Indicator did show up in any way.
I tried to test it with VCDS, did an output test but as i tried,
the Disyplay went dark and nothing lit up.

Does anyone have an idea why my Cluster would not accept the Layout ? Do i need to change something else ? Or to code something different ?

I found info that Yours PN 1K8920871 have ~ SW 0206 or better to say 02xx.

Scirocco scale is available from 07 or 08 if i remember correctly for BW cluster.

Yes! This is the exact scale i have. Does it work with VDOeditor ? I bought it. So if it would work it would be so nice from you if you could tell me wich Setting i need. Another tough i had is, that i may have some LEDs and Resistors unpopulated, if so it qould not be a Problem, i could solder some SMD there. I will ad a screen shot in Attachments.

Here is my Cluster dump btw. I just renamed it rar because Bin file format is not supportet by attachments.

I think Daku means that you have to update firmware version of your dashboard from old 02** series upto 07**/08** series to enable possibility change LED layout.

Ok i understand, hwo do it update this ?

As SkodaPIlot said, I mean Flash update From 02xx to 07/08. Only in this SW scirocco is available, same as wellcome screen If you have Odis or Vag can pro, i can do it remote. But we must cooperate, and prepare good final EEPROM to You.

Yes i only have a EEPROM reader not VCP/ODIS but i will buy VCP soon. It would be very nice if you could assist me then. Thanks in advance!
