The most limitation is memory size of LCD MCU. To get possibility flash 3d firmware, LCD should have 128M.

For clusters upto 0505 LCD isn't latest limitation

Do you have more info? Who is the author? A way to contact him?

If you buy a lcd/tft screen that has 128M from the newer type cluster, does it fit on the lower typ 2D cluster? And can you make it then a 3D version?

Hi! I’m trying to do this upgrade myself. I do understand you can get that LCD from Audi clusters, but I’m not sure where to find those. Can you please help?

Thank you for your reply. Can you please elaborate? I know I need the LCD and a custom firmware, but can’t find more info anywhere.
I’m already selling my 2D cluster in order to buy a 3D one, but unfortunatly nobody seems to be interested.
Almost losing hope here.

On drive2 I have read a topic how to change the older lcd into 3D
You need som extra wiring to have the newer lcd on it
