I think it will work, but upload your EEPROM to a filehoster, i will try to check it and write, if it works or not.

I think that it would work , but due to a lot of versions i recommend to read eeprom to ensure that utility could work with dump. You could attach it here or use file exchange service

Hi, thanks for the replies.
I stopped disassembling my IC because I´ve found that my tach and speedo "stickers" (don´t know the right word, sorry!) have most indicators missing (no t printed). So, It would be pointless to try to enable them as they are physically not present.
Also, what´s more annoying to me is the lack of the famous car emblem showing which door is open.
Using VCDS in Instruments reading, I know that the IC can say which door is open!!! Because I enable readings for Door1-4 and they read Open or Closed accordingly.
This was how far I got, but didn´t wanted to continue until being more ceratin that I could obtain something possitive.

Enabling staging does work BUT, breaks backlighting completely...
No scales backlight, no needle lights, no high beam indicator, no rear fog indicator longer works if staging remains enabled.
Are you aware of this possible bug???

I downloaded your dump, activated staging and compared the files. There has been more changed than bit 5 in offset 0x66.
Also offset 0x450 changed from 0x10 to 0x12.
So I tried it with another file of my database and also VDOEditor changed more than offset 0x66 after activate staging. Something is really going wrong.

Sorry but I didn´t understand.. Offset 450, are you sure? Double checked and the dump I uploaded here has 00 (hex) as value in offset 0x450, NOT 10 as you told.. Perhaps there is a confusion?

So you say that apart from changing byte 66 vdo editor also changed byte 454 in the same process of enabling staging ?
Perhaps that would solve my issue, tomorrow I will give it a shot.
