I tested this in the car and there is hardly any difference. It's 2-3 km/h better than before but not nearly as good as the old speedometer. Should I upload the eeprom here or via PM???

If you want you can apply real speed mode via VDOeditor. Did you compare by digital speed or speedometer value?
Regarding modified dump uploading this is your choice. Forum should allow to upload dump. I think there is enough information for users who want adjust k value
Ps I don't recommend to upload modified dump to database, because there are no ways to place note to dump

No, I will not upload the dump to the database because the dump that is already there is no longer original. I got the galaden and tested it. Changes have already been made there.
I've already considered using real speed mode via VDOeditor, I think that will be the next attempt. I'll see if it helps. But it can't be that this MFA causes such a problem. I've had and done a lot of MFA's and so far there hasn't been such a mess with it.
I'm thinking about what else could be responsible for it, other than the k or impulse value, that the 1k8 shows the halfway correct speed... I compared all the values with the original and everything fits in my opinion.

In the VCDS under adjustments I found the point: ENG112416-IDE01766-velocity_detection-Wegimpulse,,,,... for me it has a 4 in it. What impact does this value have or what does it mean? Unfortunately, Google didn't really help.

This option selects velocity source. As far as I understand it is dependent on abs type. Most dashboards are used speed signal

I'm having the same problem with a 5N0920883C cluster, SW1104 retrofited into MK5 Golf.Ferry wrote: ↑12 Jan 2024 10:59 Hello, I'm writing this here because it's the same speedometer with the same part number, I hope that's ok.
I have the problem that I want to put the speedometer in an EOS. Unfortunately I cannot recode the K number. I would have to set 7 under byte 0 bit 0-3. But it is stuck at 1 and cannot be changed. Now my question is, can I adjust it somehow in the eeprom, or adjust it somewhere in the VDO editor so that I can get the 7 in there? Tire circumference and all the other settings also fit Eos as it is set up. It just shows a completely wrong speed compared to the GPS signal (18km/h difference from 100km/h). I would be very happy about a positive feedback.
I'm using 225/45 R17 tyres, which means aprox. 1991 mm wheel circumference. Changed 0x0AD to "04" and got 2019 mm in VCDS, IDE00845 - which should be close enough. However car is still showing 100km/h while GPS 80km/h.
Could the ECU be broadcasting a wrong speed?
