I am changing a cluster from bi fuel to normal fuel It is a 3C0920872H HW03 sw 0305
I downloaded via the VDO editor the dump from data base 3C0920872F updated the cluster with scale of 280 km/h
after uploading the bin file to the cluster I'm getting a check sum error
how can I clear this error?
I tried to cleare the eeprom first by clearing memory with all FF FF FF and then a fresh upload of the dump, but that also did not work.

Re: 3C0920872H to 3C0920872F checksum error
In addition to this problem I have tried to clear checksum area with the button in the last page
Some how this will not work.
Is there a reason why this button doesn't work

Re: 3C0920872H to 3C0920872F checksum error
For those who are interesseted how to solve this, I have found the following.
If you flash a clusters eeprom with a flash that was not original from that cluster, but sw and hw are same, you will get an error on the display at the place were normaly the milleage will be read.
After correcting the milleage, the error in the cluster will be gone, but you will find an DTC/check-sum error in the log with (f.e. VCDS)
To get rid of this check sum error you have to back-up the dump from the cluster again.
In this dump you can find arround area 0BC0 the figures 10 01
if you replace those with FF FF DTC will be cleared and you will not find the check-sum error
write back the dump .
